Speech Therapy for Parkinson's Disease

Speech therapy addresses issues related to speech/voice, swallowing, language, and cognition.  Communication and swallowing symptoms for people with Parkinson's Disease may include:

  • LSVT LOUD® Certified therapist and SPEAK OUT!® provider: Lee Silverman Voice Therapy (LSVT®) and SPEAK OUT!® are treatment techniques for improving speech intelligibility for people with Parkinson's Disease. Tami received her LSVT certification in 2006 and became a SPEAK OUT!® provider in 2018.

  • Education: Tami ensures that you and your family/caregiver (as appropriate) have a good understanding of the diagnosis and the benefits of recommended exercises. In addition, you will learn about other available resources for people with Parkinson's Disease.

  • A Member of Your Medical Team: There may be many medical professionals involved in your care. Tami will work with your other healthcare providers to make sure everyone is working together to help you achieve your goals.

  • In-Home Speech Therapy: No need to sit in traffic, look for a ride to a clinic, or sit in a waiting room, speech therapy will come to you.
